Rachel is an AFAA certified group exercise instructor and personal trainer, with a passion for changing people’s lives. She moved to Washington, DC in the 80’s after receiving her B.A. in International Relations from Boston University. She quickly realized that her hobby, teaching group fitness, was what she really wanted to do.
Rachel has been teaching group exercise since 1985 and has been a personal trainer since 1994. For seven years she was the owner of Work It!, an exercise studio in Washington, DC.
Ms. Posell has specialized certifications in Spinning® and Pilates. Rachel focuses on functional/integrative training, utilizing tools such as tubes, bands, balls and your own body weight. She teaches Body Sculpting, Cycling, Pilates Mat, Pilates Reformer, Sports Conditioning, Boot Camp, Barre Burn, ViPR and Stretch classes.
Rachel has been featured in The Washington Post, Allure Magazine and was chosen by Vogue Magazine as one of the nation’s top 50 personal trainers.
Rachel is also the mother of three, a freelance fitness writer and gives presentations to fitness professionals and enthusiasts.
